Soccer Notes

The third round National Cup game between Disston and Bethlehem Steel scheduled for Saturday January 5th at Philadelphia is creating great interest in soccer circles, and if weather conditions are in any way favorable a great crowd ought to be on hand to witness the game. This game is undoubtedly the most important scheduled in the east to date and several good judges of soccer are of the opinion the winner of this round will be cup holder for the season. The Steel Workers are training hard for this game and will be in excellent condition when Referee Caldicott sets the game in motion. The Steel Workers lineup will be the same that defeated Disston here on Christmas Day and every man is confident of their ability to reach the fourth round.
