BETHLEHEM SOCCER RECORD
CHAMPIONS LOST ONE GAME
Steelworkers Played Total of Twenty-six Games -- Met Strongest Elevens in Country

With prospects of a rise in temperature local soccer fans can look forward to seeing the steelworkers in action on the new athletic field during the next two Saturdays.

The remarkable record made by the champions this season to date is one the Bethlehems should be proud of. The locals have been pitted against the strongest elevens throughout the country, in cup, interstate and intercity game, fifteen having been played away from home and eleven on the local field, a total of twenty-six games to date. In all these games Bethlehem has only lost one and that to St. Louis All-Stars on Christmas day.

Bethlehem is out to win the National and American trophies this year as it wants to make it three straight. The team is already in the semi-final of the American championship series and the fourth round of the United States Championship competition.

The complete record from Sept. 9, 1916, to February 4, 1917, shows the wonderful offensive and defensive strength of the team, the forwards having scored ninety goals on their opponents and the steelworkers' defense has had twenty goals scored on them in the twenty-six games played.
