Jimmy Campbell, captain of the Bethlehem F. C., who was out of the game for some time due to an injury received in an automobile accident, is again fully recovered and in condition to take his regular berth with the team. However, Campbell will probably not be included in the lineup to face the pick of the Delaware Shipyard League in an exhibition game to be played at Philadelphia tomorrow afternoon. "We may need Campbell for some of the big cup and league games to follow," said Manager Sheridan, "and although he is fully recovered from his injury, I am not willing to take a chance of having him benched again in an exhibition contest." Another player that the Quaker City fans are anxious to see in action is Harry Ratican, the star center forward of the championship aggregation and the failure of his appearance will be a keen disappointment to the Philadelphia enthusiasts. Since and before the games played in St. Louis Ratican was not in very good condition owing to illness. It is understood that he is still under the care of a physician and that it is hardly possible that he will appear with the champions against the Shipbuilders. Jimmy Easton, who has been going good at the center forward position, will most likely be the selection.
The game tomorrow is classed as a gala event in soccer circles in Philadelphia and in view of this all matches scheduled in the Delaware Shipyard Soccer League have been called off. This also became necessary when the star players of the different teams were chose to comprise the eleven to lower the Bethlehem colors. When it became known that the game was assured, the league officials chose the following team to oppose the Bethlehem combination: goal, Alf Pearce, Hog Island; right fullback, Alex. McLoughlin, New York; left fullback, Pat Howley, Pusey & Jones; right halfback, Peat, New York; center halfback, Napier, Harian; left halfback, Fullerton, New York; outside right, Jim Wilson, Merchant B; inside right, Graham, Merchant B; center forward, Nolan, Merchant B; inside left, Jim McGhee, Merchant B; outside left, P. Pooley, Pusey & Jones. Reserves: Forward, McConnell, Sun Ship; halfback, Frank Robinson, Hog Island; fullback, Campbell, Merchant B.
