3 GAMES FOR STEELMEN DURING WEEKEND
Soccer Team at New Bedford Saturday and Providence on Sunday
GIANTS HERE FEBRUARY 22

Although still smarting under the sting of defeat experienced at Newark last Sunday, the Bethlehem soccer players are already engaged in making preparations for the hard league grind over the weekend and the game to be played in Bethlehem on Washington's birthday.

At New Bedford Saturday

The weekend trip will be one of the hardest of the season and on the outcome of the two games to be played will hinge probably the American Soccer League laurels. The Steelmen will invade the New England district, where New Bedford will be the Saturday opponent and Providence on Sunday. The trip will include two of the remaining five games to be played away and against opponents that are ranked the most formidable in the league. After the New Bedford and Providence the Steelmen will have to make one more trip each to the home pitch of Boston and J & P Coats and New York Giants for league encounters.

N. Y. Giants Here Feb. 22

An opportunity to see the Steelmen in action will be presented on Washington's Birthday, when the opponents here will be the New York Giants. With the game the only major attraction for the day and stores and business places closed on the holiday, soccer fans will welcome the contest.

In meeting the Giants the Steelmen oppose one of the most dangerous clubs in the league and a club which of recent date seems to have struck its best stride. Two weeks ago the Giants upset the soccer dope when they journeyed to Boston and defeated the Hubmen in their own back lot. That victory was an accomplishment that few others if any league clubs achieved this year. The defeat gave Bethlehem first place in the league. This brilliant victory was followed by another last Saturday when the Giants defeated Sam Mark's Fall Rive aggregation. By these two victories the Giants loom up as a club that must be greatly respected and one that is certain to give Bethlehem the battle of the season.
