SOCCER NOTES

The Bethlehem Steel soccer team will be without a league or cup game this week and a big effort is being made to have the Wanderers of Philadelphia come here for an exhibition game on Saturday, Feb. 23.

Negotiations are under way with a view to having McKeesport play the fourth round National Cup tie here Saturday, March 2. McKeesport defeated Rochester Celtic in the third round National Cup game by the score of 9 goals to nothing and were drawn against the Steel Workers in the fourth round, the game to be played at McKeesport, so if the Steel Works management are able to induce the to waive the choice of ground and come here for this game the local fans will witness one of the greatest soccer games of the season.

Soccer all over the east has been delayed to such an extend through unfavorable weather that this season will probably be the longest drawn in this country. Every drawn game in cup ties will add more to the delay in finishing the season.
