SOCCER GAMES POSTPONED WEATHER CONDITIONS, CAUSE
Lehigh-Lafayette Contest May be Played This Week -- Victor Forfeits Game to Beth. Steel.

Fate for the third time has intervened in the playing of the third round American Challenge cup soccer match between Bethlehem Steel champions and Jersey City.

Word was received Saturday, by Secretary H. W. Trend that the game schedule for yesterday at Jersey City, had to be called off because of unfavorable field and weather conditions.

This same condition was the cause of postponing of Saturday's match between Lehigh and Lafayette, in the triple tie for the Pennsylvania Intercollegiate soccer championship, in which Penn is the third party. Negotiations are under way to play the game with Lafayette here, tomorrow.

The Victor Talking Machine company forfeited its American league game with Bethlehem Steel, Saturday. Secretary H. W. Trend and Referee J. H. Carpenter inspected the playing pitch and found it covered with ice.

Manager Maguire and Secretary Trend entered into negotiations for the match next Saturday, but the Victor management stated that it would be impossible to bring the team here again this season and agreed to forfeit to Bethlehem Steel.
