Because J & P Coats failed to arrive in Bethlehem Saturday afternoon for the scheduled American Soccer League game, Bethlehem Steel's standing in the league race remains the same. Since the non-appearance of the Coats team was occasioned by a fog delaying the docking of the Fall River line boat and subsequently causing the team to miss train connections, it is not believed that the league executives will take drastic action in meting out punishment. Their absence was practically unavoidable. Otherwise a fine would be imposed and the points forfeited to Bethlehem.
