BETHLEHEM BOOTERS AT HOME SATURDAY
Cup Finalists May Meet Giants in League Game on Lehigh Field
LISTED FOR TWIN BILL

A strong possibility that home town soccer fans will be given the opportunity of seeing the Bethlehem team in action here before squaring off against Fall River in the final round, Eastern division, U. S. F. A. cup competition, is forecast by the schedule tentatively drawn up for this weekend.

Bethlehem and Fall River, the giants of major league soccer are the only survivors in the cup play and the committee has favored each with a brief respite before mustering their forces to full strength in their last bid for Eastern soccer supremacy.

As a result league games will exclusively occupy the soccer spot ling over the weekend. If the schedule goes through as drawn up Bethlehem is in for a torrid weekend listed to meet each of the two New York clubs. The Giants, bowled over by the Steelmen in the second round cup play by the close score of 2 to 1, are expected to be here for a game on Saturday afternoon. ON Sunday the Bethlehem boys will journey to New York to meet the New York Nationals, a nemesis of Bethlehem in league competition but quickly eliminated by Brooklyn in the cup play.

In this arrangement Bethlehem is by no means receiving a light consignment but the management is consoled in the layout planned for Fall River and for once this season the Marksmen are not getting the break they have been accustomed to. Fall River is down on the books for two games and incidentally both will be played away from home. It will be a unique experience for the Down Easters to do their stuff on strange loam for in each of the three cup rounds played the Marksmen performed at home.

Incidentally the two Fall River games are in the Metropolitan district, meeting Brooklyn, the victim of Bethlehem last Sunday afternoon and launching their trip with a game against the New York Nationals on Saturday.
