Lehigh Valley Organization Players Will Attend National Cup Game at Brooklyn

To avoid conflict with the Eastern final of the National Cup competition to which many of the Lehigh Valley Soccer League players will journey on Sunday afternoon, the executives of the circuit at a recent meeting have decided not to schedule any games for this weekend.

While practically every team in the league will have representation at the cup tilt between the Bethlehem Steel soccer team and Fall River at Brooklyn, N. Y., on Sunday afternoon, it is understood that the Wanderers and North Ends will make the trip intact.

The two postponements of the blue ribbon classic, because of the adverse field conditions has served to stimulate a greater desire to see this game and with the advantage of excursion rates to make the trip, local soccer fans will no doubt embark en masse for the field of battle.

While no games are arranged in the Lehigh Valley League for this weekend, the circuit will again swing into action on Sunday, March 16, when the following games are scheduled: Hackers vs. Easton at Allentown; Hokendauqua vs. Hogans at Hokendauqua; Wanderers vs. North Ends at Bethlehem.
