A Swing Along Athletic Row

Soccer Tilt Postponed
Good judgment was exercised by Referee Lambie when after looking over the ground conditions at Hawthorne Field, Brooklyn, yesterday afternoon, he wisely decided to call off the semi-final round of the National Challenge Cup competition between Bethlehem Steel and New York Giants. Under the conditions neither team could do justice and the postponement was favorably received by both clubs. For games of such importance conditions should be the very best. In the past it has been the case of playing semi-final and final round cup games under adverse conditions and the results have been very unsatisfactory. The teams will go to the post for their game on the same field next Sunday afternoon.

Looks Like the Ben Millers
With the Western Division of the National Challenge Cup competition down to the final round, it looks as if the Ben Millers, of St. Louis, will be the team to advance to the grand final. The Ben Millers advanced as finalists by defeating the St. Louis Vesper Buicks by the score of 2 goals to none. In the final round to be played next Sunday, the Ben Millers will meet Chicago.
