Fall River in Cup Final
Fall River, league leaders in the American Soccer League race, qualified on Sunday afternoon for Eastern championship honors in the cup tie competition. In the New England bracket of the cup competition Fall River disposed of New Bedford in the semi-final by winning 3 goals to none. The winners of the National title last season will now meet the winners of the semi-final to be played between J & P Coats and Fleisher Yarn which will probably take place next weekend. If Fall River continues the pace the team has maintained during the season it is hardly possible that either Coats or Fleisher could beat them and the Macks clan of booters is practically sure of being the team to oppose the Western representatives for the National professional title. As for the league competition there are still a number of more games to be played with a possible chance of Bethlehem overcoming the three point lead for the championship.
