HAKOAHS TO SAIL FOR AMERICA APRIL 3
Jewish Vienna Stars to Tour U. S. Under Bethlehem - N. Y. Giant Sponsorship
TO PLAY GAME IN THIS CITY

Sanction for the second United States tour of the Hakoah soccer team has been received and the All-Jewish eleven from Vienna, which broke all soccer attendance records last year, will sail for this country on the Mauritania on April 3. The tour this year will be under the auspices of the Bethlehem Steel and New York Giant clubs of the American Soccer League.

If anything, the coming invasion, which will last from April 10 to June 5, will be even more extensive than last year. The Polo Grounds, which were the scene of the biggest crowd of last year's tour -- 45,000 00 will see at least three games during the present tour. Other cities included are Philadelphia, Bethlehem, Newark, Fall River, Cleveland, Detroit, Buffalo, Chicago, Milwaukee, Montreal and Toronto.

Despite prevailing impressions that the Hakoah team was greatly weakened when American clubs signed ten of last year's invaders, the Jewish eleven is even stronger this year. New blood has been discovered in the ranks of the junior Hakoah elevens, and the hopes of winning places on American clubs has fired the youngsters with new ambition. While there will be more youngsters on the club, several of the popular veterans will also be in the squad. These include Alexander Fabian, who was termed the equal of any of our American goalkeepers, Max Scheuer, the newly elected caption, and Hess, Wegner and Fold.
