The Steel company team changed its lineup on Saturday when news was received from Newark that the game on Sunday was cancelled.
The Blue Mountain league had a strong team on the field and gave the local champions a hard ninety minute fight, and it was only toward the end of the game that the steel company team showed its superiority and went into the lead.
Few of the players or the color of their uniforms could be recognized when they came off the field because of mud and water.
Spring weather having arrived, local fans can look forward to the Bethlehem vs. West Hudson game being staged next Sunday.
The local team will keep up its special training to which they have been put for the last two months.
Lehigh has a stiff proposition on hand next Saturday when it tackles the University of Pennsylvania (varsity team) for the championship of the Pennsylvania Intercollegiate title. This game will be played on Taylor field and should attract a big crowd. Several of the Bethlehem Steel team will help coach Lehigh this week in preparation for the game.
