Champion Eastern Clan Getting Vote on Calling Off Providence Tilt
PRIMING FOR GRAND FINAL

As a safeguard against possible injury before the grand final of the U. S. F. A. cup competition a week from Sunday, the management of the Bethlehem Steel F. C. is asking the American Soccer League to be relieved of the grueling campaign scheduled for the Steel Leaguers over the weekend. Two games are scheduled, one with Boston on Saturday and the other at Providence on Sunday. The Steelmen are satisfied to play one of these games but ask to be relieved of the other.

That there is little possibility of the league acting favorably is already manifest by the response received. Thomas Cahill, secretary of the league, is hob-nobbing with [REMAINDER OF ARTICLE MISSING]
