Popularity of the Bethlehem Soccer Team
The popularity of the Bethlehem Steel soccer team is again evidenced by the invitation received for a series of two games to be played in St. Louis this coming weekend and which was accepted by the local management. There are plenty of other clubs in the Easter which have made a representative showing but it is the Bethlehems that the St. Louis fans are clamoring to see in action. A victory over Bethlehem is apparently regarded as the crowing accomplishment of the soccer season. This popularity not only holds true in St. Louis but in fact wherever the Bethlehems play. The experience of the league teams and those in the cup competitions by drawing their largest gate of the season, again attests to the popularity of the Steel Workers.
