Soccer patrons thus far are to be favored with thirteen games comprising the Hakoah soccer team schedule in this country, and there is a strong likelihood that at least two more games will be added. The Bethlehem Steel soccer team and the New York Giants, who are fostering the trip of the Jewish team, are quite liberal in their intentions and are making every effort to present the great dribbling eleven in as many cities east of Chicago, as their stay in this country will allow.
In arranging the schedule the assistance was given by Abraham Tuvim, United States representative of the Jewish organization. The Hakoah soccer team will sail for the United States tomorrow from France on the Aquitania for its second tour of this country. The squad left Vienna on Thursday and is due to arrive in this country next Friday.
The schedule for this, the second tour, comprises five games more than last year's invasion, when ten games were played before more than 200,000 people. This year's tour will be launched in Bethlehem, on Wednesday, April 20, against the National champion Bethlehem Steel team. The second game will be at Philadelphia on the 23, and the first New York game will be at the Polo Grounds on Sunday, May 1. Following the New York contest, the eleven will tour the West.
The schedule follows:
April 20 -- At Bethlehem.
April 22 -- At Philadelphia.
May 1 -- At New York.
May 7, 8, 14 -- At Chicago
May 15 -- At Cleveland
May 22 -- At Detroit
May 24 -- At Toronto
May 28 -- At New York
May 30 -- At Philadelphia
June 4 -- At Brooklyn
June 5 -- At Baltimore
The dates of June 11 and 12 are yet to be filled and more than likely these will be assigned to Newark and Fall River.
