SOCCER NOTES
On account of the desire of the local Management to have the players in good shape for the semi-final with the Joliet F. C., it has been decided not to play this coming Saturday. Word received today from Secretary T. W. Cahill, of New York, was to the effect that the Joliet team last Sunday defeated Detroit, at Detroit, by the score of 4 to 0, and their season's record has been most flattering. The local players are taking outdoor exercise, and while all the players are in fairly good shape, unusual precaution is being taken to prevent any of them going stale.
