The Globe -- South Bethlehem

SOCCER NOTES

Reports emanating from Chicago indicate that Bethlehem is going to have its hands full in order to win from Joliet. While no official word has been received from them, still Easton, one of the Bethlehem players who has just come from the West informs the local management that to date they have not been defeated and besides have won their National Cup games in convincing fashion. Their third round game with the McDuffs of Chicago, they won by the score of 6 to - and to go to Detroit and defeat Detroit's premier team 4 to 0 is in itself sufficient, not to mention the fact that in the second round of the National cup they defeated the Pullman team 4 to 1. It will be remembered that Bethlehem last year had all it could do to defeat the Pullmans on Lehigh Field by the score of 2 to 1.
