A Swing Along Athletic Row

Fall River Again Leading Circuit
Fall River, league leaders in the American Soccer League race all but one week since the season opened, climbed back in the top-most position by winning two games over the weekend. Bethlehem Steel shouldering the league leading honors during the past week, is back in second place with but one point separating with the former national champions. Fall River made its second last invasion of this district over the weekend during which Philadelphia F. C and Newark F. C. were defeated on consecutive days. Bethlehem Steel stopped Indiana Flooring in a decisive manner and although the Steel Workers collected their two points, Fall River went two points better by collecting the four for the two games played. In the number of games played the teams are now equal with five more to contest before the season closes.

One More Invasion for Fall River
Bethlehem's hope of equalizing with Fall River are probably based on one more invasion for the New England booters. On this trip it will be to meet Fleisher Yarn in Philadelphia, and Indiana Flooring in New York. Both these teams have flashed unusual form from time to time during the season, but will have to be at their best to cope with the strong Fall River clan, a team which seems to be slowly recovering from the morale effect of the unexpected reverse in the cup competitions at the hands of the Boston F. C. Bethlehem, on the other hand has five more games to play, one of which will be on the home grounds against Boston F. C. Next Saturday the Steel Workers will meet Fleisher Yarn at Philadelphia and other games still to be played are one each with Providence, New York Giants and Philadelphia F. C.
