Steel Workers To Be Idle
The Bethlehem Steel soccer team, according to the present understanding, will be idle next Saturday. However, the Steel Workers are listed for an important attraction the following day when the clan journey to New York City to meet the New York F. C. in the oval. This contest will be the semi-final in the American Cup competition and at the same time the Steel Workers will be fighting to avoid elimination in this classic. Fall River will be locking horns with the Abbot-Worsteds in the same round of the cup competition. The winner of these two rounds will meet in the American Cup final. Cup games take preference over league tilts and seldom if ever at all are double headers booked. That is why the Steel Workers, who have quite a few more league games to play, will be idle on Saturday.
