In The Bag
Whatever interest remained in competing for honors among the major league soccer clubs in the East was entirely eliminated after the Sunday games in which Fall River, by defeating New Bedford, made its league leading position secure. Up to this game there was a mathematical possibility of ousting the Marksmen but certainly not a moral probability. Fall River has a lead that nothing but complete collapse could overthrow. However, with the edge of big league soccer all washed up, not a few of the major league clubs will persist in waging their campaigns and will probably keep on playing as long as the gate produces a satisfactory return.
