STEEL MEETS SNAPPY TEAM
Fleisher Yarn Is Expected to Extend the Local Soccer Club to Limit
REID MAY GET CHANCE

Bethlehem Steel F. C. will engage Fleisher Yarn at Philadelphia in an American Soccer League game on Saturday afternoon and in meeting the Quakers will collide with one of the scrappiest teams in the circuit. This becomes more apparent in recalling the Fleisher-Boston cup game in which the Hubmen were scarcely able to nose out victorious.

While it is possible that Hugh Reid, the recently acquired Irish full back may be included in the lineup, it is also quite possible that the management will decide to take no chances and stick in the regular team. Playing away from home and against a scrappy team is an important issue and one that must be carefully considered at this crucial stage in the league race.

In the practice this week Reid has shown up well and will no doubt be a valuable acquisition. However, it is a question whether or not he is acclimated to local conditions and after his long journey to this country whether he is in the proper condition.

Bethlehem will also be represented in the Fleisher Yarn lineup by Joe Morrison. Off and on Joe played with the Yarners all season and seems to take particular delight in playing against Bethlehem. If he does start for the Yarners tomorrow it will be either at a halfback or forward position, with the former position most likely. The team will probably line up as follows:

Bethlehem Steel -- Fleisher Yarn
Carson -- G -- Kucklick
Reid or D. Ferguson -- RFB -- Rogers
J. Ferguson -- LFB -- Spalding
McDonald -- RHB -- Whyte
Carnihan -- CHB -- Duffy
MacGregor -- LHB -- Morrison
Turner -- OR -- Gallagher
Granger -- IR -- Purvis
Stark -- CF -- Stradan
Rollo -- IL -- McLaughlin
Goldie -- OL -- McGhee
Referee, Danny Oates, Philadelphia. Kick-off, 3 p.m.
