STEELMEN TO PLAY BOSTON SATURDAY
First Home Game in Some Time Should Bring Out Big Crowd of Fans.
GAME ON ELIZABETH AVE.

The first home appearance of the Bethlehem Steel F. C. since winning the national soccer championship will be on Saturday afternoon, when the Steelmen, getting a brief respite from their American League cup competition campaign tackle the strong Boston F. C. in a league game on Lehigh Field, on Elizabeth Avenue. (Don't forget the new name of the north end grounds, Mr. Fan!)

The game will probably be the last major soccer tilt in this city for the balance of the season, for with several more rounds of cup soccer to be completed, it is highly probable that the home club will abandon the remainder of the league games.

Good Game Assured.

Drawing Boston as the opponent, a real treat is in store for the Bethlehem and neighboring fans . Not since the Steelmen annexed the laurels in the National Cup competition and for several weeks prior to that time, have they displayed their stuff on home loam and the return for this game will certainly be appreciated.

In meeting Boston, Bethlehem will oppose a club which threatens to give the Steel Workers a battle for the American Cup championship. Both teams are still very much in the running, and while e Fall River is partly favored to come through in the New England bracket in this classic, it is Boston that has proven the Nemesis to the cup aspirations of the Harold Brittan clan the last two seasons.

Since Bethlehem started its sensational grind, which wound up with victory in the National Challenge Cup and advanced to the semi-final round in the American League cup competition, the club has not lost a game. In the cup campaign the team disposed of all the survivors in the Metropolitan bracket and then whipped Coats in the final of the Eastern Division, following this victory with a one-sided win over the Ben Millers, of St. Louis, for the national championship. In the American League cup affair, the Steelmen have shipped Philadelphia and Newark and a week from next Sunday will probably meet the New York Giants in the semi-final round. In that event and in the event of victory, the Steel Workers will meet the New England representative in the final, most likely closing up shop, due to the lateness of the season, after that game.

McDonald to Play.

The Steel management has announced that it will field its cup lineup against Boston, which means that "Whitey" McDonald, the only regular missing in the last several games, will be back at his halfback post. McDonald, injured in the National final is said to be completely recovered and ready to play against the Bostonians.
