New York F. C. Downs National Finalists
Probably one of the most unexpected surprises in the soccer world occurred in New York yesterday afternoon when the New York F. C. defeated the strong Todd Shipyard team by the score of 3 goals to 0. The Gotham booters proved a source of trouble all season, particularly to the honor-winning aggregations. In games against the Philadelphia F. C., American League champions, the New Yorkers were deadlocked in tie scores. The Todd Shipyard players were finalists in the National Cup competition but lost the laurels to the Scullins in St. Louis.
