Can't Catch Brown
The kelly for the individual high scoring honors in the American Soccer League goes to Davy Brown, diminutive flash on the New York forward line. They can't catch Davy no matter how strong they bat in the remaining games, for the Giant star has amassed the high total of 53 goals. Andy Stevens, of New Bedford, is runner-up with 38. Bethlehem has two players who finished high for the individual scoring honors this year. They are Gillespie, with 31 goals, and Stark with 24. Injury forced Stark to miss many games this season, while it was along about midway in the season before Gillespie was permanently established as a regular on the forward line.
