The Globe -- Bethlehem
May 11, 1917
SOCCER NOTES

The Bethlehem Steel team completed training today for the big game to be played at Newark on Sunday. It will be remembered that Bethlehem won the American Cup from Disstons of Philadelphia in 1914 after a replay by the score of 1-0 and again won from the Scottish Americans of Newark in 1916, 3-0. The West Hudsons are noted as being one of the best teams in the country, this year being at their best. With good weather this should prove one of the best American Cup finals played in years. The following players are to report at the Lehigh Valley depot at 11 o'clock Sunday morning, Duncan, Fletcher, Ferguson, Kirkpatrick, Murray, Campbell, Chadwick, Butler, Fleming, Pepper, Gaston, Forrest, McKelvey, Morrison and Trainer Machen.
