Soccer Notes

New York soccer players had to bow before their New Jersey rivals in the first match of the double-header yesterday at Harlem Field, New York, where the Babcock & Wilcox eleven of Bayonne, winners of the Jersey State Cup, defeated the New York Football Club by 2 goals to 0.

Although already in possession of the championship for the year, the Brooklyn Celtics added two more points to their credit in the New York State Football League series at the expense of Clan MacDonalds in the second game of the double-header at Harlem Field , New York, yesterday. The Celtics won out by 1 goal to 0. The single tally was the result of a bombardment of the MacDonald's goal, McKenna finding the net twenty minutes after the start.
