Soccer Notes

This evening the Bethlehem Steel soccer team will finish its training for the American Cup final game with Babcock and Wilcox F. C., of Bayonne, N. J. The game will be played on a neutral grounds at Pawtucket, R. I., on Saturday, and a crowd almost as large as witnessed the National Cup final two weeks ago is expected to be on hand. The officials of the American Football Association will have full charge of the game and Secretary A. N. Beveredge states that everything is in readiness to handle the crowd.

Every player on the Bethlehem team is in perfect physical condition and all are confident that they will be able to keep the American Cup in Bethlehem for another year.

The Babs furnished a surprise in soccerdom when they defeated the Fore River team in the semi-final game, and the Steel Workers will have to be on the alert every minute of the game or the Babs will pull something over on them, the same as they did on Fore River.

The game will start promptly at 2:30 and George Lambie, of Waverly, Mass., will referee. Ed Pember, of Pawtucket, R. I., and George Mitchell will act as linesmen.
