A Swing Along Athletic Row

Releases Hinted by Steel Management
That the personnel of the Bethlehem Steel F. C. will be considerably reduced becomes apparent by hints dropped recently of dropping no less than half a dozen members. In response to queries, the management is sitting pat and if anticipating such action is certainly not divulging it. However, it is known that the management is of the opinion that a few of the players have seen their best days and in following the policy of other clubs and in order to cope with the opposition, it is believed there will be some vacancies, to make room for new blood. The Steelmen carried probably the biggest squad in the league. Some of the players on the roster participated in very few games this season. The management feels that to continue to keep them under contract is unfair to the players who may be chafing under idleness. It may be that if released by Bethlehem these players will be able to earn a regular position with some other club.
