In Brooklyn Tuesday
The Steel booters have a tough job on hand for Tuesday night when they play Boston in the second game of the home and home series to determine the league championship. THE Bean Eaters came though in the Hub in their game against Bethlehem on Saturday afternoon and will enter the second game two goals up. Since it is total goals that count in deciding the home and home series, Bethlehem will have to score thrice and hold the Hubmen scoreless to survive the next and final round. The Tuesday game will be played in Nat Agar's soccer park, Hawthorne Field, Brooklyn.

Not a Chance for a Title
The experience of campaigning a year of soccer without winning at least one of the major honors will be something new for Sam Mark's Fall River team. And the Marksmen are definitely out insofar as their chances for a major award are concerned. The issue was decided over the weekend when New Bedford eliminated the team in the playoff series of the American Soccer League championship. In the Saturday tilt played at New Bedford the Whalers defeated Fall River by the score of 3 to 1. The Sunday classic went to Fall River b y the count of 1 to 0. Totaling up the points notched, New Bedford is the survivor for the final round to meet the winner of the Boston-Bethlehem series. The championship will be decided this weekend.
