A Swing Along Athletic Row

Best Player on American Team
Although it has been some time since the picked American tam opposed a selected aggregation representing the Dominion in the first International match it is not amiss at this time to call attention to the praise bestowed by Canadian critics on the playing of the veteran Jock Ferguson. Unanimous was the opinion that Jock one of the last of the old guard of the Bethlehem Steel team, was the best player on the American team. This opinion is not along the version of Canadian critics for throughout the American Soccer League loop there are many soccer critics of the same thought. And all this is in spite of Jock's many years of active service in the game. While it is understood that the popular member of the local clan will be used only in emergencies next season, it is probably a safe bet that he will be active in more than half of the games. Particularly the games where the issues at stake are most seriously threatened.
