SOCCER TEAM GETS INVITES
Steel Men Likely to Play at Boston and Brooklyn Prior to Opening
OF REGULAR SEASON IN FALL

The Bethlehem Steel Soccer Club is in receipt of invitations from the soccer teams representing Boston and Brooklyn, requesting the appearance of the local team at these cities in exhibition games to be played before the opening of the American Soccer League season on September 13th.

Conceding the tremendous drawing power of the Bethlehem soccer players, the communications name August 30th as the date on which their appearance is desired in Boston, and September 7th as the day on which the Brooklyn team would like to meet the Steel team there.

An official of the club stated this morning that the invitations will, in all likelihood, be accepted. The game with Boston would be especially interesting for the reason that Boston has only recently entered the league and the proposed encounter would be the first between that team and the local club.
