A Swing Along Athletic Row

Greatest Roman of All
In submitting the list of players signed with the Bethlehem Steel F. C. for the 1927-28 season our attention is called to the omission of the name of Jock Ferguson, the grand old war horse who has seen more active soccer service in America than probably any other booter. The wise ones predicted that Jock had shot his bolt half a dozen years ago but Jock always bobs up at the right time and he has proven mighty valuable to the local club in several tight pinches last season. Jock may have lost some of his speed and may have lost some of his drive to his kicks but in spite of that ranks with the best fullbacks in the major league sport. Our sentiments are those of the soccer booster who calls attention to the omission of Ferguson's name with the following: "Sorry J. Ferguson's name was overlooked for he is again with the club in the usual capacity and is "THE GREATES ROMAN OF ALL."
