Stark and Cameron Will Appear Saturday in Uniforms of Steel Soccer Team

Two new players will probably be seen in the Bethlehem F. C. lineup tomorrow afternoon, one being certain, when the Steel Workers tackle the Philadelphia F. C. in the opening of the American League Soccer season.

Archie Stark, recently acquired by the Steel Workers, worked out with the Bethlehem squad yesterday afternoon and is certain to start at the center forward position. The other newcomer to the local ranks is a big strapping player by the name of Cameron, who came here from Canada, where he enjoyed the reputation of being the best inside forward in that country.

Cameron arrived in Bethlehem early in the week and although he has mingled with the Steel Workers delayed in signing a form until this afternoon. He has had senior football experience and played a number of games in Canada during the last year. Originally he came from Scotland where his experience in senior football ranks was extensive. It is likely that he will be given a trial at an inside berth in the game tomorrow afternoon.

Simultaneous with the opening of the American Soccer League season in Bethlehem, six other clubs will make their debut for the 1924 season. These will be played at Pawtucket, R. I., Boston, Mass., and Philadelphia. Four games are scheduled for Sunday afternoon, but Bethlehem is not included among the list.

The final practice of the Steel Workers was held yesterday afternoon at the close of which the tentative lineup was selected. This is subject to changes depending on the condition off the players when they report to don their uniforms tomorrow afternoon. The defense will be practically intact with members of last season's team. These include Carson in goal, Jock Young and Davy Ferguson, fullbacks, and Carnihan, MacGregor and Terris, at halfbacks. Stark will be an inclusion in the forward line with the selection made from Granger, Goldie, Maxwell, Turner and Cameron for the other position.

All arrangements have been made for the opening game and everything is in readiness, awaiting the kickoff at 3 o'clock. Danny Oates, of Philadelphia, one of the best referees in the circuit, will have charge of the game. The probable lineup of the teams follows:

Bethlehem -- Philadelphia
Carson -- G -- [...]
Young -- RFB -- Davis
Ferguson -- LFB -- Gaw
MacGregor -- RHB -- Rundel
Carnihan -- CHB -- Clark
Terris -- LHB -- MacDonald
Turner -- OR -- McKelvey
