Looks Like a Big Soccer Season In New York
Soccer got away with a bang in New York yesterday afternoon and judging by the attendance the sport is going big in the metropolis the coming season. The New York Giants will no doubt poll the biggest number simply because the New York Giants, formerly the Paterson F. C., won the National title last season. Yesterday the New York F. C., one of the contenders for the American League honors, opened with an exhibition game on the home grounds at New York Oval and played to a crowd of two thousand fans. In viewing of all the big doings in New York yesterday, including a double header with the Yanks, the attendance is considered very good and in the point of further attendance gives the season a rather bright outlook.
