The Philadelphia F. C., with its array of former Bethlehem Steel F. C. stars, should be very much in the limelight in the big American Professional league judging by the results of the opening game against the J & P Coats eleven on the latter's field at Providence, R. I., on Saturday afternoon. The contest was the opening in the league. The final score was 3 to 0.
The Phillies, from all reports, gave such a splendid exhibition of soccer that it was the consensus among those who witnessed the old days of the great Bethlehem machine.
