HORN TO PLAY IN GOAL FOR BETHEHEM
Local Player Will Be Seen Between Uprights Against Newark on Saturday
ANTICIPATE HARD GAME

Booked for a double header every weekend since the Eastern League started its 1929-1930 season, the Bethlehem soccer team will have it comparatively easy with only one game booked this weekend and that to be played here on Saturday.

Tom Adams' outfit, comprising a combination of American-born sandlotters, college men and European stars, is materially strengthened by the acquisition of Ronny Cameron, the former ex-Bethlehemite who sported the colors of the Blue and White some five years ago.

Well fortified with forwards at the time, Cameron, and chaffing under idleness, sought his release and returned to the old country for several seasons, coming back to America with a greater reputation than on his first visit.

On his return to Europe, Cameron was sold to Huddersfield by Dumbarton for $5,000 and was intended as an understudy to Alec Jackson, the sensational young forward who, too, had starred with the Bethlehem team. Later he received an appointment in Vancouver, British Columbia, but could not resist the call of Uncle Sam. He ought to be a tremendous asset to Newark.

The result of the weekend games should have a material effect on the league standing. Hakoah is leading the procession with the New York Giants and Bethlehem deadlocked in the runner-up position. Hakoah is scheduled to meet the Giants on Sunday and should the latter come through with a win and Bethlehem do likewise the race will be thrown into a three-cornered deadlock. On the other hand, should the Giants lose and Bethlehem win, these two teams will swap positions.

Johnny Horn, former Penn State and Portugal goalie, who impressed with his work between the uprights last Saturday, will get another chance to display his skill. Horn wants another trial and the management conceded. This means that Beveridge, who suffered leg injuries, will receive a much-needed rest.

Allan and Gibson look likely as the starting backs with McGregor, Carnihan and either Watkins or Finlayson, the halfbacks. The most probable forward line will have Gillespie and Jaap on the right wing with Archie Stark at center forward; flanked on the left by Johnny Rollo and Alec Dick. The latter played the wing position last Saturday and seems more at home in that berth. The league standing:
