BETHLEHEMS’ FIRST LEAGUE GAME ON HOME GRIDIRON
Will Play Victor Professionals of Quaker City “Bobby” Morrison Signs with Bethlehem.
Victor Professionals, one of the leading Philadelphia soccer clubs and for years a member of the old Pennsylvania Professional League will be Bethlehems’ opponents on Saturday on the Bethlehems’ grounds in an American League game. The strength of Victor may be judged from the form it displayed against the West Philadelphia eleven last Saturday, which although considerably strengthened this season was defeated by the Victor 5 goals to 2. Saturday will be the first time that Victor and Bethlehems will have met.
Secretary Trend Monday morning was in Philadelphia awaiting the arrival of “Bobby” Morrison one of last season’s stars. The S. S. Merion arrived at 10:30 a.m. Secretary Trend met Mr. Morrison who immediately signed up with the Bethlehems team and will join it on Thursday and will play his first game for Bethlehems on Saturday against Victor Professionals.
