Soccer Notes

Owing to Disstons not having yet arranged a date to play Bethlehem in Philadelphia for the benefit of the Red Cross, the Eastern District magnates are unable to make arrangements accordingly. It would be a good move, however, to schedule the game before the zero weather sets in.

"Billy" Sheridan seems to be putting a lot of "pep" in his Bethlehem Steel champions, as witness the way they are laying low teams in the National League.

Efforts are being made to transfer the American cup tie with Veterans of Philadelphia on next Saturday from that city to this place.

While the Bethlehem Football Club won the New York, the Paterson club kept pace with the A. F. A. champions by winning in the National Football League series yesterday. The league results in New Jersey yesterday were the following: Scottish Americans 3, West Hudsons 1, at Clark's Field; Paterson 4, Babcock & Wilcox 1, at Olympic Park, Paterson; Disston A. A. 4, Jersey A. C. 0, at West Side park, Jersey City.
