The Steel Workers came out of Sunday's league game with New York without any serious injuries, although several of the players received undue attention from a few of the New Yorkers.
Tommy Fleming seemed to be singled out by at least two of the New Yorkers and the attention was not always legitimate, but he kept his head and played the game.
The Steel Workers' halfback line was particularly strong on Sunday and the New York forwards found it difficult to move in unison.
