PROPOSE TO ADOPT NEW NAME FOR SOCCER LOOP
Composition of Two Divisions Is a matter of Future Arrangement.
IRONING OUT DETAILS
According to a statement by Col. G. R. Manning to the club owners of the Eastern Soccer League, the peace pact which has been agreed upon between the U. S. F. A., and the American Soccer League clubs will, in all probability, resolve itself into the formation of a new league of two divisions, to be known by another name other than the American Soccer League.
The composition of each division is a matter for future arrangement. It is not yet known, for instance, whether Eastern Soccer League will decide to retain its identity, and continue to be known as such, or amicably agree to form part of the new organization. There would seem to be a feeling, however, that its metropolitan area of operation should be preserved, instead of opposing New England clubs in their territory, the reason for this attitude, of course, being solely financial.
