Soccer Notes

A big crowd is expected to be on hand Saturday at the new athletic field to witness the American cup game between the Veteran A. A. and Bethlehem Steel, and the fact that this will be the Steel Workers' initial move to capture the trophy for the third successive year ought to be of special interest to local fans. Only once in the history of the cup has any club ever won it three times in succession, the O. N. T. of Newark performing the feat in the first three years of its inception, but as soccer was only in its infancy in those days, a similar performance by the Bethlehem club would be of greater significance.
