ANOTHER CHAPTER IN 'SO-CALLED' SOCCER WAR
Southern New York State Association Resigns From National Body
MORE LEGAL THREATS

New York, Oct. 26 (AP) -- Protesting against what it termed an invasion of its rights, the Southern New York State Soccer Football Association has resigned from the United States Football Association, thus writing another chapter in the so-called "soccer war."

Of the total membership of approximately 170 clubs, all but five supported the State Association's action taken at a special meeting last night, according to Nathan Agar, now acting president of the body. When Dr. G. R. Mann, the president, resigned in protest against the vote of resignation, Agar succeeded to the presidency, for a time being at least. The "war" started when the American Soccer League suspended the Newark, Bethlehem and New York Giants club for entering the United States Association's National tournament. The three suspend clubs promptly started the Eastern League with the approval the United States Association.
