New York, Oct. 26 (AP) -- Protesting against what it termed an invasion of its rights, the Southern New York State Soccer Football Association has resigned from the United States Football Association, thus writing another chapter in the so-called "soccer war."
Of the total membership of approximately 170 clubs, all but five supported the State Association's action taken at a special meeting last night, according to Nathan Agar, now acting president of the body. When Dr. G. R. Mann, the president, resigned in protest against the vote of resignation, Agar succeeded to the presidency, for a time being at least.
