Blakey Leaves Bethlehem Club
According to an announcement emanating from Philadelphia Albert Blakey, who toured Sweden with the Bethlehem soccer team was only for a short time a member of the champion's squad. Shortly after the return of the club, it was announced from local official sources that Blakey with three other new players had signed to campaign with contract and will play with Hardwick & Magee club of Philadelphia in the Industrial League this season. It was also announced that Blakey would assist the Merchant F. C. of Harriman, Pa., in the National and American cup competitions, this being permissible owing to Hardwick & Magee not having entered either of the two cup tournaments, and the latter grating permission for Blakey to play. With Blakey playing halfback, the Magee team should present a strong defense in the Industrial League and are no strong contenders for the bunting.
