Stars on Bethlehem and N. Y. National Teams Should Mean Lots of Action.

Many interesting individual clashes are certain to materialize on Lehigh Field, Center Street and Elizabeth Avenue, the home ground of the Bethlehem Steel Soccer Club, when the Steelmen engage with the revamped New York Nationals in an American Soccer League game on Saturday afternoon.

With the many recent importations of Scottish soccer celebrities and acquisitions from the new defunct Hartford and Philadelphia clubs, the Nationals are boasting the strongest outfits in the league and one which, taking players individually, compares with the best in the circuit.

The Nationals have dropped quite a few games this season but seem to have struck their stride against Newark last weekend, when Georgie Henderson, famed Scottish center forward, played his first game for the New Yorkers. The team the Nats will field is a quite different one from that which started the campaign earlier in the season for the only original player of the former Indiana Flooring eleven who will probably see service here is Jimmy Gallagher, a fast and aggressive halfback.

After the Thursday practice the Steel management has found available and in good physical condition Johnny Jaap, Archie Stark, Tom Gillespie, John Granger and Malcolm Goldie. These players have been tentatively assigned posts on the forward line.

The absence of MacGregor, who went to Toledo in response to a telegram announcing the death of a brother, would be sorely missed. However, it is probable that MacGregor will return in time to take his place on the halfback line. His services are needed for with Barrie and McMeekin, first call backs, still on the injured list, it is probable that Whitely McDonald will play right halfback, paired off with the aggressive William Allan who again dons his soccer harness after several weeks absence.

Johnny Rollo, general utility man and probably the most versatile player on the team, is not assigned to any position for the National game, but, in all likelihood, should MacGregor be delayed in Toledo over the weekend, the diminutive forward, goalie and halfback will complete the halfback line with William Reid and Bill Carnihan.

The probable lineups follow:

Bethlehem New York Nationals
Guedert G -- McMinn
McDonald RFB Warden
Allan LFB Clarke
W. Reid RHB Gallagher
Carnihan CHB Slaven
MacGregor LHB Martyr
Jaap OR Walker
Stark IR McKenchie
Gillespie CF Henderson
Granger IL Abdullah
Goldie OL Hutchinson.
