A Swing Along Athletic Row

Carnihan Soon Ready for Action
The prolonged absence of Bill Carnihan, captain and center forward of the Bethlehem Steel soccer team has been the source of much concern among local soccerites. A dashing and hard playing halfback, Carnihan has been one of the strongest bulwarks of the Bethlehem defense. Bill is out of the game due to illness but rapidly recuperating and will probably start hopping around for training within the next few days. Carnihan had quite a siege with an infected tooth which when extracted necessitated a further operation and the removal of part of the jaw bone. Bill was a spectator at the Newark-Bethlehem game on the local lot on Tuesday afternoon and asserted that he is about fit and ready to assume the soccer harness. He will not be available for the New Bedford game tomorrow but most likely will again be back at his center half position when Bethlehem tackles Brooklyn here the following week.
