Special training by Bethlehem Steel was begun this afternoon on East End field in preparation for next Saturday's first round National Cup game with Bethlehem East End. The latter is well balanced. This will be the first time that the Bethlehem East End has been in the big competition. In the qualifying round it was drawn against Nativity and defeated it 2-1. The officials will be announced soon by the National Cup committee.
Fletcher and McDonald are recovering from injuries received in the Hibernian game.
Gaynor received a kick in the Allentown game last Saturday and is incapacitated.
Clan McDonald defeated Yonkers F. C. 1-0 in a replay American Cup game on Saturday, and will meet the Bethlehem Steel in Bethlehem in the second round of the American Cup competition. Efforts will be made to stage this game if possible either on Thanksgiving day, November 25, or Saturday, November 27. Clan McDonald is considered one of the surprises of the New York soccer district.
