A Swing Along Athletic Row

Bethlehem's Double Deck Right Wing
Probably no other team in the American Soccer League can boast of a forward line as strongly fortified as the Bethlehem front line. This was evident in the dual bill over the weekend when in defeating Brooklyn here on Saturday afternoon Johnny Granger and Neil Turner, both seasoned members of the local team, comprised the right wing of the Steel Workers and the next day Johnny Rollo and Forrest, both recent acquisitions, played the positions in Brooklyn. To round out this combination the Steel Workers have the invincible pair of forwards, Sturdy Maxwell and Goldie, on the left wing, and the batting ace of the circuit, Archie Stark, at center forward. This is a forward line that any club in the country would feel proud to boast of and one on which Bethlehem Steel followers are pinning their faith in bring the American League bunting back to Bethlehem at the close of the current season. In our opinion the forward line is the best balanced in many years and supported by an excellent defense should make things quite interesting for the rival opponents in future games.
