BOSTON DROPS TWO; FALL RIVER TIED
Bethlehem Increases League Lead – Plays Marksmen Here Saturday
NEWARK WINS AND LOSES

Saturday
New Bedford 4; Boston 3.
Springfield 2; Newark 1.
Coats 0; Philadelphia 1.
Bethlehem 4; Providence 0.

Sunday
Fall River 1; Boston 0.
Giants 6; Providence 1.
Indiana 2; Brooklyn 0.
Newark 2; Philadelphia 0.

Bethlehem’s victory in the American Soccer League over the weekend, while Boston dropped two games, increased the lead of the Steel Workers by a substantial margin. Fall River, conquerors of Boston Sunday, tied with the Hubmen by that victory and now looms up as the most serious contender for the league honors.

A game that promises to be of vital importance in the league race will be played in Bethlehem next Saturday when Fall River, one of the two teams to have previously defeated Bethlehem, will be the opponent. A victory over Fall River would give Bethlehem a secure hold on first place. The standing of the clubs follows:
