A Swing Along Athletic Row

Disastrous Blow to Steel Dribblers
The weekend was decidedly disastrous to athletic teams representing Bethlehem, for in addition to the Varsity and Frosh setback experienced in Lehigh football, the Bethlehem Steel dribblers lost an excellent opportunity to aspire to first place in the American Soccer League standing. The Steel Workers away on a two game trip were dazed by J & P Coats on Saturday afternoon and knocked out by Fall River the following day. All of which means that the Steel Workers dropped four points which at this stage of the race are by no means a mere trifle. With the exception of the Thursday game against Newark, the Steel Workers have a flock of home tilts in which opportunity presents itself to make up the lost ground.
